About KU-IIF
Kannur University has been a pioneer in fostering entrepreneurship in Kerala since 2013. Through KU-IIF and its predecessor initiatives, we've built a comprehensive ecosystem supporting innovation and startup growth, making a significant impact on the region's entrepreneurial landscape.
Our journey began with a vision to transform innovative ideas into successful ventures, and today, we stand as Kerala's leading university-based incubation center. The establishment of KU-IIF in 2023 marks a significant milestone in this journey, providing state-of-the-art facilities and comprehensive support to aspiring entrepreneurs.
With the generous support of the Ajith Balakrishnan Foundation, we've created a dynamic environment where ideas flourish and entrepreneurs thrive. Our foundation currently nurtures 18 promising startups, each contributing to the innovation and economic development of northern Kerala. Through mentorship, funding support, and industry connections, we're building tomorrow's success stories today.
Our Journey
Starting with the Entrepreneurship Development Club in 2013, we've consistently evolved our support for student entrepreneurs. In 2015, we established Kerala's first university Business Incubation Centre, followed by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre in 2016.
